Before having her wedding leave, Regine Velasquez announced/promised that there's going to be a "Pasabog" for the year 2011.

Jan14, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid became part of the Ayala Center's Kapuso Night wherein she performed with the drag queens of I Heart You Pare. January 15, After the wedding leave, Regine finally came back to Party Pilipinas 'Mash Up" as Regine Velaquez-Alcasid with the new "Bangs 2011" hairstyle. She also had her first interview as Mrs. Alcasid in Showbiz Central after Party P. January 16, her first and biggest fan page reached the 100K mark. Moreover, Regine and management postponed her 25th Anniversary concert because of misfortunes in the venue. January 30, Regine and Ogie had their very first duet in Party Pilipinas as a married couple and Regine also launched her I Heart You Pare soap with Dingdong Dantes."True Romance" from her fantasy Album is the OST.. They also launched IHYP at GMA's Comedy Bar during this month.CLICK ME

Regine and Ogie's wedding was featured in the Feb 2011 issue of Yes! magazine. February 12, Regine guested as Tonette of IHYP live with the Eat Bulaga Gay band afterwhich she guested to the Ogie & Pops Concert 'I Valentine U'.

February 16, is the 25th Anniversary of Regine Velasquez in show business.

Feb 25, Regine became part of the 25th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power 'Tatak EDSA 25' wherein she sung 'Magkaisa'. She also guested the benefit concert of The Company "For the Love of.." at the Music Museum. CLICK ME

March 2011, Regine and Ogie launched Celebrity Ukay Ukay for the benefit of the GMA Kapuso Foundation. Also was the second leg of her Fantasy Album mall tour: March 6 in Trinoma, March 20 in Glorietta 5, and March 27 in Market! Market!. April. Regine became part of the commercial of Bear Brand 'Victory' in celebration of Nestle's 100 years. April is the most controversial month of Regine, pregnancy rumors/ allegations that she's already pregnant spread until the time that she announced to quit IHYP on Party Pilipinas as adviced by her doctor. Regine was replaced by Ms. Iza Calzado as Tonya/ Tonette as her "1st announcement". The week after, she was absent on her Party Pilipinas 41st Birthday bash, Party Pilipinas divas gave her a tribute having a virtual duet with the Songbird. After, there was a phone patch and a taped video of Regine announcing/ confirming that she's 7 weeks pregnant! and added to it that she's craving for a mandarin Cheeseburger.This is the time of the year when she started to have her 'maternity leave'.CLICK ME

May 19, 2011, Songbird Source! celebrated its 2nd Anniversary. CLICK ME

June 2011. Regine at 14 weeks preggy said she misses singing. Regine also bacame a judge at OPM at Pagcor sining competition. Regine Velasquez - Asia's Songbird and Ogie Alcasid - Singer Songwriter sung PANGAKO in Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado 25th Wedding Anniversary. CLICK ME Regine Velasquez was chosen to sing the theme song of the upcoming Kapamilya TV series "Binondo Girl".

July. Regine visited her Party Pilipinas family as one of the audience and not as a performer. She and Ogie announced that they're going to have a baby boy and they name him Timothy Joseph . Regine also became a part of the 2011 FHM 100 Sexiest Women at # 63. Regine also guested in Angeline Quinto's first major concert and it was really a talk of the town because it was a dream come true for Angeline and to have straight rehearsals coming from Regine's home wherein she also gave Angeline a pair of diamond earrings. CLICK ME Proven that Regine can always hit high notes even  in her pregnancy. In this month, Ogie and Regine also launched celebrity Ukay Ukay online. Songbird Source! also launched its Facebook page.They also became part of the 25 Most Enduring Singers and 100 Most Beautiful People accdg. Yes!Magazine.

During the month, Regine and Ogie confirmed that the final name for their baby boy is Nathaniel James.

August. Regine's Kitchen is featured in the Yes! Magazine "Diva in the Kitchen". She also shared some of her recipes and showed her modern inspired kitchen in her QC home. Regine supported Ogie's preparations for his Birthday concert and other gigs. Regine, even if she's shy on the camera because she always say she's big, She also supports Ogie in hir presscon etc. She even guested in the gag show 'Bubble Gang'. Regine also donated her first set of personal things for auction in the Celebrity Ukay Online. She also bacame part of "Pilipinas, Tara Na!" a domestic tourism advocacy campaign spearheaded by the Department of Tourism in partnership with various private organizations. It was also in August when we first heard the theme songs of Iglot "Smile' and My Binondo Girl 'Sino Ako?'.

Ogie also had his Birthday Concert at the Resort's World called "Celebration" wherein he had a duet with the Songbird and they also revealed the 4D Ultrasound of baby Nathaniel James. CLICK ME Monday after the concert, Regine organized a birthday party for Ogie at the club house with PNoy as one of the special guests.

In this month, Regine performed again on Party Pilipinas "Pak Chack" during her leave bec. it's Ogie's Birthday bash and Regine also launced/ sung the OST of Iglot. 

September. She also spent quality time at her home with many baby showers. With a baby with hubby Ogie Alcasid on the way, despite keeping a low profile the past few months, however, Asia's Songbird proves that she still reigns supreme in the vocal category as she wins Female Network's 25 Best Filipina Singers poll for August. She also won different polls of female Network with the help of her supporters. CLICK ME

October. Ogie and Regine anticipated the birth of their baby boy. October is also the 5th Anniversray of her 20th Anniv. Concert 'Twenty". CLICK ME October 2, The OPM balladeers of Party Pilipinas "Idol" rendered a string of Asia’s Songbird’s most remembered hits. Ogie Alcasid said he and wife Regine Velasquez are swamped with gifts for the baby: "Ultimo crib, pati stroller, car seat, hindi na kami bumili!" 

November. The most exciting month. Regine Velasquez gave birth to a baby boy, Nathaniel James, on the night of November. Regine delivered Nathaniel via caesarian section at 7:47 PM in a private hospital.CLICK ME

"Nathaniel James" was even a top Twitter trend in the Philippines on November 9, which means a large volume of users Tweeted the phrase at the same time during that period. Regine then was a trending topic on Yahoo! Philipppines.

December. Regine finally feels of being a true full time mom to her baby. Regine also joins Twitter and loves to update her fans regarding motherhood. She even shares pictures for the first time coming personally from her through twitter. On this month, Regine also won the ASAP 24K Gold awards for her album Fantasy. December 8, they celebrated baby Nate's first month. Regine also asked us fans to be one in helping and praying for the victims of Bagyong Sendong in Iligan and Cagayan De Oro through her tweets. 

December 22, Ogie and Regine with baby Nate went on vacation to Batangas to celebrate their 1st Wedding Anniversary. Chrsitmas Eve, the family celebrated on the Alcasid's home in Magallanes and during the Christmas day, they celebrated it at her house in Bulacan. Regine was excited visiting her hometown esp. with her baby boy Nate. CLICK ME


Indeed, even if Regine is on leave for us fans, her 2011 is the happiest year for her..

Regine will start 2012 in a Valentine Concert on Feb. 14 called Mr. & Mrs. A LIVE at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid: Happy about Being a Mom, Dotes on Baby Nate

Asia's Songbird says being a first-time mom can be scary, but she's excited all the same.

 

Singer-actress Regine Velasquez spoke about being a new mom in a phone patch interview on variety show Party Pilipinas on November 20, PEP.ph reports. Her husband, Ogie Alcasid, had just sung the song he had written for their baby, called "Aking Anak," on the show. Photos of baby Nathan James were also revealed to the public for the first time in a slideshow playing in the background.

A cheerful Regine revealed that baby Nate was doing fine, and so was she. "I'm very happy and nakakatuwa 'yong baby ko. Una ko siyang nakita, sabi ko, 'Saan galing 'yan? Bakit mukhang foreigner?' Mukha kasing foreigner, e. Basta ang lagi lang sinasabi, even my sisters and brother, ang tangos daw ng ilong. (I'm very happy, and my baby makes me happy. When I first saw him, I said, 'Where did he come from? Why does he look like a foreigner?' He really does look like a foreigner. Everyone always says, even my sisters and brother, that he has a high-bridged nose.)"

She also said she and Ogie didn't know who baby Nate looked like, but she added that he seemed to have inherited her dad's long feet and Ogie's bright eyes.

As for officially being a mom now, Regine said it makes her happy and scared at the same time. "Parang I don't know what to do with the baby. Sana I'm doing it right."

Ogie immediately told his wife on air that she had great maternal instincts. "Galing mo, hon, galing mo! (You're doing great, hon, you're doing great!)" He had tears in his eyes when Regine replied, speaking about how much she relied on him.

Regine will be taking a break from the industry in the meantime to focus on being a mom and losing some of the baby weight she'd gained. She and Ogie are scheduled to have a concert together in February.

Ogie says Regine won't leave Showbiz, Plus 1st Glimpse of Baby Nate's Pics on Party Pilipinas this Sunday and more!

The husband of Regine Velasquez denied rumors that the Asia's Songbird will leave the entertainment industry to become a full-time mom.
Velasquez gave birth to Nathaniel James, her first child with singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, last November 8.
In an exclusive interview with "The Buzz," Alcasid said he and Velasquez will work together in a concert next year.
"Mayroon kaming concert sa February 14 sa Araneta Coliseum, so iyon ang una niyang gagawin. Gusto raw niyang magpapayat. Sabi ko 'Ikaw kung ano ang gusto mo. Maganda ka sa akin kahit ano,'" he said.
Alcasid said he and Velasquez are happy to have their first child.
"Siyempre ang first few months talaga mag-a-adjust ka talaga dahil iba-iba ang oras. Kung kailan ka tulog, doon sila gising. Pero okay lang, kahit wala kang tulog okay lang," he said.
He added that he has written a song for Nathaniel James.
"Noong nasa bahay ako tinapos ko. Medyo ni-record ko nang konti. Pinasa ko na sa arranger ko. 'Yung title 'Aking Anak,'" he said.
When asked to give a message to his wife and son, Alcasid said, "Mahal, nakakatuwa na ang saya-saya mo. Nanay ka na. Siyempre mahirap iyan sa simula, pero nandito naman ako para alalayan ka.
"Sa anak ko, pangako namin sa'yo na papalakihin ka namin na isang mabuting Kristiyano. Excited kami ng mommy mo. At I love you, anak and I love you, honey."


Meanwhile, several people from show business shared their well wishes for Velasquez, Alcasid and their newborn child.
"Masayang masaya kami kasi 'yung talagang matagal na matagal na naming wini-wish for you two, nandito na. Ang pogi-pogi nung bata. Sobrang pogi talaga. I was just overwhelmed with the fact that Regine has a baby on her hands. Not a microphone but a baby. So super blessing 'yon," singer Jaya said.
Actor Dingdong Dantes, on the other hand, said that he is happy because the couple "has added another talented person in this world in the person of Nathaniel James."
"Sigurado akong manang-mana siya sa inyo," he said.
Popstar Princes Sarah Geronimo, for her part, said, "Very happy for Miss Reg. Finally, nagkaroon na rin siya ng matatawag na talagang anak niya talaga. Buong buo na ang pamilya ni Kuya Ogie. Katext ko po [sila]. Kinongratulate ko siya pero bibisita kami soon."
Singer Dingdong Avanzado, who is a friend of the couple, said, "The day after nanganak si Reg [I visited]. Tamang tama nag fi-feeding si Regine, nakita ko 'yung baby. You can see the joy in Ogie's face. Sabi niya 'Pare sobrang stressful 'tong week na 'to para sa akin.' Sabi niya unbelievable daw 'yung saya na nararamdaman niya. Si Reg, she's recovering pretty well."

Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid is so inspired with the birth of his first son that he wrote a song for him. Alcasid shared this on “Showbiz Central,” Nov. 13. “Sa ngayon ginagawa ko na. Siguro next week matatapos ko [na ang kanta],” he said. The song, which will talk about the birth of his son Nathaniel James, is titled “Aking Anak.”

He is hoping to sing the song in next Sunday’s “Party Pilipinas” episode. The singer related how he was informed about his wife Regine Velasquez’ date with the stork. “Regular check-up lang kasi niya iyon, eh, pero hindi namin talaga ini-expect na noong araw na ‘yon manganganak na siya,” he recalled. “Tumawag siya sa akin siguro mga alas singko [ng hapon]. Sabi niya, ‘Hon, manganganak na ako, ooperahan na ako.’ Medyo nag-panic din ako. Dumating ako sa ospital mga siguro quarter to seven [ng gabi]. Tapos pine-prep na siya. Siguro ‘yung operasyon halos fifteen to twenty minutes.”

Velasquez gave birth Nov. 8 via cesarean section. Alcasid shared having mixed emotion when he saw Nathanael James for the first time and heard his first cry. “Right at the moment, halo-halo na ‘yon, may tension, may kaba, may happy. Pagka umiyak na ‘yon tuwang-tuwa na ako nu’n.” He explained that the name Nathaniel James was “matagal na naming napagdesisyonan [ni Regine].” “Gusto talaga niya ‘yon. Napag-alaman namin na ang Nathaniel pala ay ‘gift of God’. ‘Yung James ay naidagdag namin kasi parang maganda ‘yung tunog ng Nathaniel James.

Friends of the power couple took turns in congratulating them for the birth of their son. “Redge, congrats kumare. Finally, may baby na,” Manilyn Reynes said. Actor Dingdong Dantes said he was “sobrang saya ako para sa kanila. Alam kong matagal na nilang inaantay ‘yan. ‘Yung anak nila is truly a blessing para sa kanila.” "You've added another talented person in this world... sigurado ako, manang-mana sa inyo," the actor told "The Buzz" in a report aired on the same day.Jaya was more descriptive to "SC" in describing the baby as “pogi as in pogi, maputi, sobrang cute. Finally, Nathan is here.”

On "The Buzz," as reported on Nov. 13, Jaya also noted, "I was just so overwhelmed with the fact that Regine has a baby on her hand. Not a microphone, but a baby--so super blessing 'yon." "Very happy for Ms. Reg, finally meron na rin siyang matatawag na anak niya talaga. Buong buo na 'yung kanilang pamilya ni kuya Ogie... Bibisita kami soon," Sarah Geronimo also told "The Buzz." "The Buzz," meanwhile, also caught up with Alcasid at the reunion concert of the La Salle High School chorale group, Kundirana. "Kakauwi ng mag-ina ko last night and okay na siya [Regine]," he said in the Nov. 13 report. "Si Regine ay tuloy-tuloy naman ang pag-breastfeed. Sarap talaga 'pag may baby sa bahay, di ba? Lahat ay aligaga... parang lahat talaga bumabait," he added. Alcasid said he is also hands-on with the baby, and does not mind the lack of sleep as a result of taking care of the baby.

When asked if his wife would truly turn her back on singing and show business, Alcasid practically refuted this by saying, "Meron kaming concert sa Feb. 14 sa Araneta Colisuem, so, 'yun ang una niyang gagawin. Gusto raw niyang magpa-payat. Sabi ko, 'Ikaw, kung anong gusto mo. Maganda ka sa akin kahit ano.'" To his wife, his message was: "Mahal, nakakatuwa na ang saya-saya mo, at nanay ka na! Siyempre mahirap 'yan sa simula pero andito naman ako para alalayan ka." Sharing his message to Nathaniel James with the viewers of "The Buzz," he also said: "Pangako namin sa iyo na palalakihin ka namin na isang mabuting Kristiyano. So excited kami ng mommy mo, at I love you, anak... at I love you honey."

She has been given too many accolades in her life, titles such as the prime diva, multimedia superstar, Philippines’ finest. But one thing is certain, the so-called Asia’s Songbird would, without batting an eyelash, trade all those for a title more gratifying than any other this world has ever called her, and that would be to be called a MOTHER.

Everyone would agree that Regine Velasquez is indeed one of the most successful artists of her time. She is celebrated by many, adored by her legions of supporters and emulated by today’s aspiring artists. She’s a living testament that when you work hard and pray harder your dreams will come true. Her tale of rags-to-riches is among the very few inspiring stories we’ve all heard about and somehow all rave about. She’s a modern day Cinderella who used her talent to take her family out of that tiny house near the market in Bulacan, the probinsyana who sang her way to victory.

And after more than two decades in the glitz and glamour industry, people would think that she already has everything and could get anything she could ever want at any given time. But what most of us did not realize is that even if she seemed content and complete, she really wasn’t… until November 8, 2011. The day she breathe life to her son, that was the beginning of the most important role she could ever play. After all, as the saying would always go, “The essence of being a woman is to become a mother.”

The moment which all those who love her have prayed for has finally arrived. Becoming the most famous Filipina singer is not a miracle; I believe that it was a mere coincidence. Giving birth to her child is her miracle; and what great wonder it is to bring life to this world.
Stepping up on the stage and seeing thousands of people staring at her in awe could never surmount the ecstasy of holding her own flesh and blood while feeling his heart beat next to hers. And maybe love at first sight really is true. And you wonder how much you could love someone you only see for the first time, how you could feel eternal bliss next to a stranger you would soon call your own. And somehow that precise moment you would realize that finally everything makes sense, each piece of the puzzle fits perfectly and life has become even more meaningful.

We all share in her happiness as she finally receives the greatest trophy she could hold. Motherhood is so beautiful for it is a lifelong journey of sorts; and how more beautiful can it become now that Regine Velasquez is traversing through it. And maybe now we can say that finally the little girl’s dream all came true, and now she is complete. Of all the songs that she could sing, nothing could compare to the joy of singing her child to sleep, of humming to him while looking at him like she never looked at anybody else that way.
And the Queen, together with her knight and little prince, live happily ever after…

Pinamagatan ito ng award-winning songwriter na "Aking Anak."

Isinulat ni Ogie ang awiting ito nang nagpa-check up sila ng misis niyang si Regine Velasquez, at nakunan ng 4D ultrasound ang sinapupunan ng Asia's Songbird, kung saan nakita ang mukha ng kanilang anak.

Ngayong nandiyan na si Baby Nathan, kailangang matapos na raw ni Ogie ang kantang yun.

Kuwento ni Ogie sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): "Alam mo kasi, yung time na ilalabas ang baby hanggang sa unang pag-iyak ng baby, indescribable yung emotion na yun, kasi hindi mo pa naririnig yung bata.

 "When the baby comes out—caesarean o normal—may moment kasi yung baby parang hindi pa humihinga, tapos iiyak.

"Yung moment na hindi pa umiiyak, kinakabahan ka na nun, e.

"Nung narinig ko na na umiyak, wala na, yung ligaya mo na eto na siya.

"Siyempre susukatan yun, aalisin yung fluid sa body niya, kinukunan ko lahat yun hanggang sa inabot na siya kay Regine.

"Yun yung excited ako, nakuha ko ang expression sa mukha ni Regine—yung nakuha niya si Baby Nate, yun.

TEXT TO MICHELLE. Ang sumunod daw na ginawa ni Ogie ay tinext niya si Michelle Van Eimeren at ipinadala ang litrato ng baby nila ni Regine.

Si Michelle ang unang asawa ni Ogie at ina ng dalawa niyang anak na babae na sina Leila at Sarah.

Ayon pa kay Ogie, kaagad na sumagot si Michelle dahil gising na siya nung oras na yun.

Kaya tinawagan niya ang dating asawa sa Australia para i-share ang sobrang tuwang nararamdaman niya nung mga oras na yun.

Kuwento ni Ogie sa PEP: "Sabi niya [Michelle], 'Ang cute-cute naman.'

"Sabi niya, 'Ano ang feeling?'
Sabi ko, 'Ganun pa rin, you know, nung nagka-baby tayo, ganun pa rin. Magkahalong takot, magkahalong tuwa, ganun pa rin.'

"Sabi niya sa akin, 'Alam mo, I'm so happy for you, sa inyong dalawa.'

"Nag-usap sila ni Regine, hindi ko lang alam kung ano ang pinag-usapan nila."

Hindi pa raw nakakausap ni Ogie ang kanyang mga anak sa Australia, pero na-email na raw niya ang pictures ng kanilang baby brother.

Malamang na sa susunod na taon ay magkikita-kita raw sila para maka-bonding ng kanyang mga anak kay Michelle si Baby Nate.

READY TO BECOME A MOTHER. Binanggit din ni Ogie sa PEP na nasa hospital pa si Regine at nagpapagaling pa.

Pero mabilis daw ang paggaling nito.

Ini-enjoy na rin daw ng kanyang asawa ang pagpapa-breastfeed kay Baby Nathan.

Nagulat nga raw si Ogie na talagang nakikita raw niya kay Regine na handang-handa na ito sa pagiging ina habang pinapa-breastfeed ang kanilang baby.

Saad niya, "Ang nakakatuwa sa kanya [Regine], I think sa experience ng ibang moms, parang hindi mo alam kung ano ang gagawin mo, e.

"Pero siya, hindi. Kumbaga, parang napaka-professional.

"Nandiyan siya to comfort pag umiiyak, very mothering.

"Pinapanood ko lang siya, kasi ayoko siyang turuan since I've been a dad.

"I'm just watching her, admiring her na it came very natural, so nakakatuwa."

NATHAN'S BAPTISM. Ayon kay Ogie, hindi pa nila pinag-uusapan kung kailan pabibinyagan si Baby Nathan.

Wala pa rin daw silang napipiling ninong at ninang.

Ang tiyak naman daw na kukunin nilang ninong at ninang ay ang mga malalapit sa kanila at ang mga nagprisinta.
Ani Ogie, "Pero maganda yung maraming ninong at ninang kasi naisip din namin, we're in our 40s, maganda rin yung maraming maglu-look after sa kanya [Baby Nathan]."

Dagdag pa ng singer-comedian, ang tanging hangad lang niya sa kanilang anak ay maging mabuting tao ito.

"Ang sa akin, ang pinakamahalaga talaga... We prayed for this bago isilang si Nate.

"Ang sabi namin sa Panginoon na, 'Turuan namin ang aming anak na pinahiram Mo sa amin, palakihin namin bilang isang mabuting Kristiyano at mabuting tao.'

"More than anything else, I think yun ang dapat na ibigay namin sa aming baby—na bigyan ng tamang foundation, na God-fearing, at yung kumbaga, priority niya yung maging mabuting tao."

REGINE'S COMEBACK

In-announce na rin ni Ogie na ang first appearance ni Regine pagkatapos nitong manganak ay sa kanilang Valentine concert sa February 2012 na gaganapin sa Araneta Coliseum.

Hubby Ogie Alcasid describes seeing Regine breastfeeding their baby as "truly moving."

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez gave birth to a baby boy, Nathaniel James, on the night of November 8, PEP.ph reports. Regine delivered Nathan via caesarian section at 7:47 PM in a private hospital.

"Nathaniel James" was even a top Twitter trend in the Philippines on November 9, which means a large volume of users Tweeted the phrase at the same time during that period. Ogie himself noted this in a Tweet: "Cute naman at trending nathaniel james." He followed this up with, "Ty for all the love for our baby! It is most overwhelming! Very blessed!"

PEP.ph was able to talk to Ogie on November 9. During the interview, he revealed that he was not expecting Regine to give birth yet, but when she said she had to stay overnight at the hospital, he knew that was it. "Then her OB-Gyne said na i-CS [caesarean section] na para makaiwas na rin for any complications."

Ogie was present throughout the delivery. "Nandoon ako, nagpi-picture, nagvi-video. (I was there taking photos and videos.)" As for the baby, he said,  "Naku, napakapogi ng bata! Maputi. Sa tingin ko, ang kamukha, ang mommy, si Regine! (Oh, the baby is so handsome! Fair. I think he looks like his mommy, Regine!)"

As of press time, no photos of the baby have been released to the public. In the meantime, Ogie expressed how touched he was upon seeing his mother and son bonding in a Tweet earlier today. "Truly moving to see a baby bond with mother through breastfeeding," he posted. "Priceless."

Ogie on Baby Nate: 'Guwapo!'

Though he couldn't really tell if his baby, Nathaniel James, resembles him or his wife Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid proudly described his first son as good-looking.

"Talagang I was so happy and so pleasantly surprised na o, ang guwapo ng anak namin. Siyempre baby 'yan eh, paglabas, titingnan mo, aba talagang wow, mistisuhin, maputi. I think he has Regine's fine features, but I think he has my head," the actor-composer laughingly told "24 Oras" in an interview aired Nov. 9.

The veteran Kapuso said Regine's birthing via caesarean section on Nov. 8 was unexpected since she was only supposed to have a check-up. However, her doctor had told her to stay as her water had already lessened.

Still, Ogie knew "for a fact na malapit na 'to. Pero hindi ko naman inaasahan na 'yung gabing 'yun din."

"So nasa set ako ng 'Daldalita' sabi niya, 'Hon, ooperahan na ko.' Sabi ko, 'Ha?!' So siyempre, I was trying to be in control and okay, compose myself. But you can never be composed. Alam 'to ng mga tatay," he recalled, chuckling.

He rushed to the hospital, making it there on time to still be able to document the moment Baby Nate came out. Ogie likewise enthused that Regine's operation went smoothly.

"I could see real happiness, excitement and deep joy sa mukha ng asawa ko. Priceless 'yon, 'yung unang tinginan nila, nakunan ko 'yon," he added.

The showbiz power couple will share photos of Baby Nate when the right time comes, added the "Unang Hirit" report, even as Ogie and Regine request for understanding from their supporters for keeping the pictures private for now.

"Kukunsultahin ko muna and aking boss. Pag may go signal na kay boss, sige, siyempre pipiliin pa niya 'yon, ‘di ba?" said Ogie, with "boss" apparently pertaining to Regine.

In his Twitter, Ogie shared some more precious moments recently with whom he calls his "wifey" and their Baby Nate.

"Got hungry after baby ante's (sic) last breastfeed:) haha, I meant after the baby fed, ako naman nagutom."

"Truly moving to see a baby bond with mother through breastfeeding. Priceless," read his tweets on Nov. 10.

Kagabi, November 8, bandang 7:47 p.m., ay isinilang na nga ni Regine Velasquez ang kanilang unang anak ng mister niyang si Ogie Alcasid.

Nanganak ang Asia's Songbird via caesarean section sa isang pribadong ospital. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)

Pero bago pa man manganak si Regine ay may nakahanda na silang pangalan para sa kanilang baby boy—Nathaniel James o si Baby Nate.

Kaninang umaga, November 9, ay eksklusibong nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Ogie sa telepono.

Kasalukuyang nagsu-shoot para sa isang commercial ad si Ogie nang makausap namin siya, kahit na nga kapapanganak lang ng kanyang asawa.

Habang kausap namin siya ay hindi maitago ang kasiyahan sa tinig ni Ogie sa bagong blessing na ipinagkaloob sa kanila ni Regine.

Ipinakuwento muna namin kay Ogie kung bakit siya nag-tweet kahapon na "excited na" sila ng kanyang "wifey" na si Regine.

Aniya, "Ganito kasi 'yan, kahapon kasi, nine months na siya.

"Pero hindi pa naman namin ine-expect na lalabas na nga kahapon.

"Nag-tweet lang ako na excited ako, excited na kami.

"Then, yesterday, may taping ako at regular check-up naman ni Regine.

"Hindi ko siya nasamahan sa regular check-up niya.

"Pero nagsabi siya sa akin baka mag-overnight daw siya sa hospital.

"Yung fluid daw kasi niya, bumababa na at yung sugar niya rin, medyo tumataas.

"So, ako naman, alam ko kasi kapag yung fluid bumababa, malapit na yun—manganganak na.

"Then, her OB-Gyne said na i-CS [caesarean section] na para makaiwas na rin for any complications.

"Kaya yung baby, nang lumabas, maliit pa, he's only 4.4 lbs."

Normal na inilalagay muna sa incubator ang sanggol paglabas nito, pero ngayon daw, ayon kay Ogie, ay nakakapag-rooming in na si Baby Nate every two hours.

Nakakapagsimula na rin daw mag-breastfeed si Regine.

Nagpapasalamat din si Ogie sa mga doktor na nag-alaga sa kanyang misis at sa kanilang baby.


Aniya, "Thank you, thank you talaga kay Dra. Lilybeth Genuino, sa OB-Gyne ni Regine, at kay Dra. Martinez, the baby's pedia, dahil ngayon, okay na.

"The baby is very okay now.

"Kagabi, naka-oxygen pa si Baby, pero natanggal na rin."

Kuwento pa ni Ogie, hindi na nag-labor pa si Regine dahil through caesarean section nga siya nanganak.

Sabi rin ng singer-songwriter, kahit may taping siya kahapon, sinigurado naman niya na sa oras ng panganganak ni Regine ay nandoon siya sa tabi nito.

"I was there. Of course, nandoon ako when she gave birth.

"Mabilis lang, 15 minutes lang, nailabas na ang baby.

"Nandoon ako, nagpi-picture, nagbi-video," masayang sabi pa niya.

Sa mga nagtatanong kung sino sa tingin niya ang kamukha ni Baby Nate, very proud si Ogie sa pagsasabing, "Naku, napakapogi ng bata! Maputi.

"Sa tingin ko, ang kamukha, ang mommy, si Regine!"       

Kung larawan ng kasiyahan si Ogie, gayundin din daw si Regine.

Pero ano nga ba ang naging reaction ni Regine nang una niyang masilayan ang kanilang anak?

"Nag-iiyak. Very, very happy," sabi ni Ogie.

Nagpapasalamat naman si Ogie sa lahat ng nagdasal para sa kanyang mag-ina.

Ganun din sa lahat ng pagbati na natatanggap nila kunsaan lahat ay masaya sa pagdating ng bagong miyembro ng kanilang pamilya.

Ani Ogie, "I feel very blessed.

"Siyempre, maraming salamat, thank you sa lahat.

"Sa lahat ng mga bumabati, sa lahat ng prayers.

"Maraming-marami pong salamat."

Samantala, simula nang lumabas ang balita na isinilang na ni Regine ang kanilang anak ni Ogie ay nagti-trending na sa Twitter at iba pang online sites si Nathaniel James.

Isinilang na ng Asia's Songbird na si Regine Velasquez ang una nilang anak ng kanyang mister na si Ogie Alcasid.

Nanganak si Regine kaninang 7:47 p.m., Martes, November 8.

Nathaniel James ang ibinigay na pangalan nina Regine at Ogie sa kanilang panganay na anak.

Ilang minuto lang pagkatapos lumabas sa PEP ALERTS ang balitang isinilang na ni Regine ang anak nila ni Ogie, nag-post na ang singer-songwriter sa kanyang Twitter account ng tungkol sa magandang balitang ito:

"At 7:47pm nov 8,2011. God gave us Nathianel James [sic]. Thank you for the prayers. God bless you all!"

Pero bago ang tweet niyang ito, nag-post pa ng magkasunod na tweets si Ogie ngayong araw:

"Songbird is now on her 36week (9months) of pregnancy, which means the pregnancy has completed it's full term."

"Wifey and I are so excited!!!"

Sunud-sunod na rin ang tweets ng ibang celebrities at maging ng mga tagahanga ng dalawa na nagko-congratulate sa kanila.

Marami kasi talaga ang excited at siguradong masaya para kina Regine at Ogie dahil sa pagdating ni Nathaniel James.

Si Nathaniel James o Nathan ang unang anak na lalaki ni Ogie.

May dalawang anak na babae ang singer-songwriter sa una nitong asawa na si Michelle Van Eimeren—sina Leila at Sarah.

Ikinasal sila Ogie at Regine noong December 22, 2010 sa Nasugbu, Batangas.
