Today is Cory's day. We remember what she gave the Philippines and what she fought for. We relive those dark days of uncertainty under an oppressive dictatorship, the "yellow" struggle to fight the regime, and the amazing, euphoric days that followed when Cory and people power prevailed.
Prayer For A Happy Death By Corazon C. Aquino 2004
Almighty God, most merciful Father You alone know the time You alone know the hour You alone know the moment When I shall breathe my last.
So remind me each day, most loving Father To be the best that I can be To be humble, to be kind, To be patient, to be true, To embrace what is good To reject what is evil To adore only You.
When that final moment does come Let not my loved ones grieve for long Let them comfort each other And let them know how much happiness They brought into my life. Let them pray for me As I will continue to pray for them, Hoping that they will always pray for each other. Let them know that they made possible Whatever good I offered to our world And let them realize that our separation Is just for a short while As we prepare for our reunion in eternity.
Our Father in heaven You alone are my hope You alone are my salvation Thank You for Your unconditional love. Amen.

Céline Marie Claudette Dion (born March 30, 1968) is a Canadian singer, occasional songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Born to a large, impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record.[3] In 1990, she released the anglophone album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.
Dion had first gained international recognition in the 1980s by winning both the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. Following a series of French albums in the early 1980s, she signed on to CBS Records Canada in 1986. During the 1990s, with the help of Angélil, she achieved worldwide fame after signing with Epic Records and releasing several English albums along with additional French albums, becoming one of the most successful artists in pop music history. However, in 1999 at the height of her success, Dion announced a temporary retirement from entertainment in order to start a family and spend time with her husband, who had been diagnosed with cancer. She returned to the top of pop music in 2002 and signed a three-year (later extended to almost five years) contract to perform nightly in a five-star theatrical show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
Dion's music has been influenced by genres ranging from rock and R&B to gospel and classical. While her releases have often received mixed critical reception, she is renowned for her technically skilled and powerful vocals.Dion is the best selling Canadian artist of all time;[16][17] and her album, D'eux is the best selling French-language album of all time.[18] In 2004, after surpassing 175 million in album sales worldwide, she was presented with the Chopard Diamond Award at the World Music Awards for becoming the best selling female artist of all time.[19][20] In April 2007 Sony BMG announced that Celine Dion had sold over 200 million albums worldwide.

Filipino chanteuse, Regine Velasquez takes time off her busy schedule to examine the issues surrounding "children in need of special protection", a term used by UNICEF to cover all those children in difficult circumstances. They are the abandoned children who need love and shelter. They are the abused children in need of protection from abuse and violence at home. They are the street children - living and/or working on the streets. They are the working little ones who risk life and limb in hazardous work environments. To explore the issues in depth, Regine visited the community in Payatas, one of the biggest garbage dumps in Manila and joined the street educators on the streets of Manila.
This was what happened last night at the first night of Regine's 2 night concert (August 1). To those who weren't able to watch, you still have a last chance on August 8.
Regine still sings her common/familiar songs we always request and songs that you didn't expect she will sing and because of this concert, you'll also hear songs she rarely sing that you haven't heard for a long time.

María Corazón "Cory" Cojuangco Aquino (January 25, 1933 – August 1, 2009) was a President of the Philippines and a world-renowned advocate of democracy, peace, women's empowerment, and religious piety. After her husband was assassinated upon his return from exile in the United States on August 21, 1983, Aquino, who had no prior political experience, became a focal point and unifying force of the opposition against Marcos. She was drafted to run against Marcos in the 1986 snap presidential elections. After Marcos was proclaimed the winner despite widespread reports of electoral fraud, Aquino was installed as President by the peaceful 1986 People Power Revolution.
