For the 3rd time! The Aga- Regine Team-Up

Happy 1 Month Anniversary Songbird Source! here on Blogger!!

Regine's 2009 has something to do with concerts/tours, guestings, primetime show, and a reality show. Regine is always busy for us admirers. For me, Regine's career aside from doing a concert, won't be complete without at least doing a movie in a year.

Aga and Regine had two movies, namely 'Dahil May Isang Ikaw'(1999)



and 'Pangako Ikaw Lang'(2001)



both directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and also both by Viva Films.

For 2009, it will be Regine's 3rd movie with Mr. Aga Muhlach (title of the movie shall be announced soon). It will be another 'box office' team-up and again of course with Bb. Joyce Bernal to direct the movie, also by Viva Films. The shooting/taping for the movie will start this July, after being busy in Totoy Bato. The movie will be shown maybe this October.

Charice is admired internationally and Hollywood admires her a lot. For me, Charice's life isn't complete without working with the Asia's Songbird...Charice's ULTIMATE DREAM!

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Charice said she was excited that her music idol, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, will be part of her concert.

“I’m so happy. First time kong magkakaroon ng concert at hindi ako makapaniwala na makakasama ko po siya (Velasquez) sa concert. Excited po ako na talagang makasama siya, kasi idol ko po siya,” the pint-sized singer said. Charice, who has sung duets with Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, shared that it was her dream to perform with Velasquez onstage.

“Nagbiro lang po ako na siya ang gusto kong makasama (si Ms. Regine) kasi idol ko nga siya. Tapos na-surprise ako na siya na nga po ang magiging guest ko. So another blessing na naman po ito from God,” she said. Charice shared that she still remembers the time when she watched Velasquez’s concert in the United States.

”Hindi po ako nanonood ng concert talaga, lalo na po dito sa atin. Pero sa concert niya sa US nakisama po talaga ako sa mga audience. Super bait niya. At ngayon po talagang looking forward ako na makaka-duet ko siya. Natupad na talaga ang dream ko,” Charice said humbly.

Her Dreams have just started coming true! Our very own international singing sensation, Charice Pempenco will have her first major solo concert this coming June 27, Saturday at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Aside from having a major concert, it's also a dream come true for Charice to sing with her music idol, Regine Velasquez. The Asia's Songbird will be part of her incoming concert entitled: "Charice: The Journey Begins".

Charice said that aside from the Songbird, her former "Little Big Star" fellow candidates and other special guests will also be part of her big night.

She is expected to perform songs that are close to her heart, as well as some original tracks from her albums.

After her concert this June 27, Charice is set to return to the US to continue recording her first international album with well-known musician David Foster.

Among our Philippine singing stars, I admire Sarah Geronimo whom I call "Ate
Sarah." She is such a good person. Whenever we would meet, she's the one who
would go out of her way to greet me, so I'm very honored. Whenever Ate Sarah
sings, you can really feel the emotions of her song. I love listening to her
extraordinary singing voice. She is just so talented. I am grateful for and
will never forget Ate Sarah's advice to me: Huwag daw lumaki ang ulo ko, to
always be humble.

The other local singing diva whom I admire a lot is Regine Velasquez. She's
already a legend and everybody idolizes her including my mother Raquel
"Kaye" Relucio Pempengco. My mommy has bought almost all of Ate Regine's
CDs and tapes and watched her videos. She's a sweet person. Not many people
know that she's actually a shy person. Her voice is so powerful - sweet but
powerful. Before our trip to Los Angeles last February, Ate Regine invited
me to dinner at her home and cooked carbonara for us. She's an amazingly
good cook, too!

Ate Regine's advice is for me to stay on in the United States, because she
said that's where the big opportunities are for singing. However, at the
moment, I have no plans to migrate to the U.S.. I just travel back and forth
because I'm not yet sure what the future of my career will be there, and I
really love being here in the Philippines.
