'Sarap Diva' Oct 6 Before Eat Bulaga GMA 7

Beginning Oct. 6, join Regine Velasquez-Alcasid (photo) as she shows off her culinary expertise and whips up delightful dishes via her newest cooking talk show, Sarap Diva.

While Regine displays her singing prowess in Party Pilipinas and dabbles in hosting her first magazine talk show HOT T.V., she now takes a new challenge as a homemaker and food lover through Sarap Diva.

Through cooking, Regine will form a bond with her celebrity guests and viewers — a bond among mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. She will allow her guests to engage in entertaining and interesting discussions as they share stories about their lives, careers, families, etc.

Sarap Diva is likewise Regine’s newest nest, where she will cherish and share her love for food, music and family.

Making this program extraordinarily special is the participation of her son Nathaniel James a.k.a. Baby Nate and her dear pet dog, George. They will add spice to the weekly episodes.

Music will certainly be a part of the program and Regine will be joined by her brother-in-law and musical director Raul Mitra on piano. Sarap Diva is directed by Treb Monteras II.

Regine Velasquez on Cybercrime Prevention Law

Mainit na pinag-uusapan ngayon ang pagpasa ng Republic Act (RA) No. 10175 o mas kilala sa tawag na Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Bukas, October 3, magsisimula ang pagpapatupad ng bagong batas na ito na naglalayong magsawata sa mga pang-aabuso sa computer gaya ng “spamming, illegal data interception, illegal access to computing systems, the altering of software and the use of malware, cybersquatting, forgery, fraud, and the misuse of devices.”

Sakop din ng Cybrecrime Prevention Law ang “online libel” kunsaan maaari nang maghain ng reklamo ang sinumang indibidwal na makakatanggap ng pambabatikos o pambabastos mula sa iba.

Kaugnay nito ay naitanong sa singer-actress na si Regine Velasquez sa presscon ng kanyang bagong show sa GMA-7, ang Sarap Diva, noong September 28, kung nakakatanggap pa rin siya ng mga negatibong komento mula sa ilang followers niya sa Instagram at Twitter.

Matandaan na noong mga unang buwan ng anak nina Regine at Ogie Alcasid na si Nate ay nag-post ng mga larawan ng anak ang Asia’s Songbird sa kanyang Instagram account.

May ilang followers ang “nanlait” kay Nate at bilang ina ay hindi napigilan ni Regine na “patulan” ang mga ito.

Ayon kay Regine, wala na siyang nababasang panlalait mula sa followers niya sa Instagram at pati na sa social networking site na Twitter ngayon.

Pero hindi siya magdadalawang-isip na patulan muli ang sinumang manlait o magsalita ng hindi maganda tungkol sa kanya at lalung-lalo na sa kanyang anak.

Saad ni Regine, “Alam mo dati hindi [ko pinapatulan], kaya lang na-realize ko nga, parang, ‘Bakit hindi?’

“Kasi na-realize ko dati, pag di ko pinapatulan, e, meron pa rin, e, di ba?

“Tapos, parang mas lumalakas pa yung loob nila. Na sila pa yung malakas ang loob na, ‘Naku, hindi ako papatulan niyan, takot lang niyan.’”

BASHERS. Pero hindi ba mas nagiging "masaya" pa ang mga “bashers” na ito kapag pinatulan o binigyan niya ang mga ito ng pansin?

Sagot ng singer-actress, “No, but if you put them in their right place, I don’t think so…

“I will not go down to their level… hindi ko kasi aawayin, e.

“I would put them on their right place, pero hindi ko aawayin…

“I don’t know, I have my own way of doing it… I can’t explain it to you.

“But sometimes I feel na… Kasi kunwari sa reporters, example lang, sa reporters, kilala kasi namin kayo, e, di ba?

“We all know that this is your job, that you need to write, and most of the time, ang susulatin n’yo, based on what we said.

“Bihira naman yung kathang-isip na lang, di ba, bihira naman yun.

“Kapag nagkita naman tayo, alam naman natin na we all belong to one industry, lahat tayo magkakaibigan, wala lang yun.

“E, ito kasing mga ‘to, they have no face, we don’t know them, kaya matapang sila.

“And a lot of times, di ba nga, lagi nilang sinasabi, huwag nang patulan.

“Sabi ko, ‘O sige, huwag nang patulan.’

“Kaya lang, pag nabasa mo kasi and it’s too personal, paano kang hindi magre-react?

“Naiintindihan ko yung position ni Sharon [Cuneta], e… makaka-react ka talaga nang hindi mo naman gusto.

“I mean, tao ka, e, hindi ka naman robot, e.

“Oo nga, ang daming nagsasabi na, ‘Naku, Ms. Sharon, huwag mo nang ano… nakakaano, ganyan-ganyan…’

“Hindi mo maaaalis dun sa tao, lalo na kung personal na personal."

Ang Megastar na si Sharon Cuneta ay naging kontrobersiyal dahil sa pagsagot nito sa mga bashers niya sa Twitter.

Patuloy ni Regine, “Meron namang nagsasabi, ‘E, huwag ka mag-Instagram o huwag kang mag-Twitter kung ganyan, ang babaw-babaw mo.’

“E, that’s not the reason why we have Twitter. Hindi naman yun yung reason kung bakit kami nagtu-Twitter, di ba?

Hindi naman para balasubasin kami ng mga tao.

“Ginagawa namin yun for those people who want to know us, yung mga fans na gustong to keep in touch with us, di ba?

“Hindi naman para sa mga bashers, di ba?

“Although, kagaya nga nung sinasabi nung iba, konti lang naman yun so hayaan mo na. Kung mapapalampas, mapapalampas.

“So, sa akin, kung kayang palampasin, palampasin. Kung hindi, pwede namang magalit, bakit hindi?"

PROTECTION? At dito na nabanggit ni Regine ang tungkol sa Cybercrime Prevention Law.

Sabi niya, “Puwede ka nang magdemanda, e, at nahahanap sila.”

Sa palagay ba ni Regine ay proteksiyon ang batas na ito para sa mga artistang kagaya niya?

“Hindi lang sa mga artista pero, apparently, hindi lang naman kami yung bina-bash—ordinaryong tao, mga reporters, kayo, na bina-bash din pala kayo.

“It’s good to have parameters, it’s good to have rules and regulations.

“Kasi kung wala, ganyan, e. Yun bang people think it’s okay na to just say things without even thinking…

“I mean, I know that some people would say na, ‘A, they’re just words, what’s the worst that it can do for you?’

“Parang, I mean, you know, words are very powerful, you don’t know.

“Di ba, pag nabasa mo, nasaktan ka na do’n, tapos bumababa na yung tingin mo sa sarili mo, bumababa na yung morale mo…

“So, hindi mo puwedeng sabihin na, ‘Oh, they’re just words.’ Hindi, e, kasi naaapektuhan ka.”

Marami naman ang nagsasabi na mahirap ipatupad ang ganitong klase ng batas dahil sa lawak ng sinasakupan nito.

Sabi naman ni Regine, “Pero at least they’re trying and that’s a good…

“Ano kasi, wala, kailangan ng order, e, kasi otherwise, may mga ibang tao…

“Hindi ko nga maintindihan, e, parang, bakit kaya nila ginagawa ito?”

NOT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. Hindi rin matanggap ni Regine na ang “panlalait” ay isang uri ng “freedom of speech.”

Saad niya, “Freedom of speech? Yung minumura ka, freedom of speech pa rin ba yun?

“Freedom of speech pa rin ba yung masyadong below na yung pagpuna sa ‘yo na personal na hindi naman na… freedom of speech pa rin ba ‘yon?

“Okay lang yung magbigay ng opinion, okay lang naman ‘yon, lahat naman may kanya-kanyang tingin ke maganda ke ano…

“Pero yung mga medyo too personal and not even true, I don’t think that’s still part of the freedom of expression.

“Oral defamation na ‘yon.”
