Regine Velasquez Will Launch Christmas at Alabang Town Center!

As someone helpfully pointed out at the media luncheon hosted by Ayala Malls to showcase their entertainment offerings for the Holiday Season, it’s not Christmas until Ayala Malls says it’s so! And with the Yuletide season just around the corner, the people over at Ayala Malls, who believe in mixing business with a smile, have decreed that it will soon be time to bring out the mistletoe and let the Christmas bells ding dong merrily on high as the country’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination rolls out its tradition of giving with an exciting program of events to be staged under the banner of “Imagine.”

Ayala Malls plans to make hopes and dreams come to life this Christmas with a series of activities that will inspire and foster relationships with family, community, and the less fortunate.

The 2010 Christmas celebration will be launched in all Ayala Malls early November with special performances and activities. A Christmas concert and charity auction featuring Piolo Pascual launches Greenbelt. Already known for his generous heart and charity work, the award-winning actor and accomplished recording artist has graciously lent his talent and will perform new and inspired renditions of well-loved Filipino Christmas songs on November 13 at the Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk.

Coinciding with the concert is a charity auction for the benefit of the Habitat for Humanity Relocation Project in Calauan, Laguna. Proceeds from the auction will go to communities around the Pasig River that are relocated to a permanent and more sustainable living space in Calauan.

Joining in the Christmas spirit will be merchants doing business in the various Ayala Malls who will be donating various gift items to be auctioned during the cocktail and concert event on November 13 at the Gallery of Greenbelt 5.

Launching Christmas in the different Ayala Malls are also renowned local talents like Billy Joe Crawford who will be performing on November 12 for Glorietta, Martin Nievera for TriNoma on November 21, Regine Velasquez for Alabang Town Center on November 20, and Jay-R on November 13 for Marquee.

One of the highlights that Ayala has in store this Holiday Season as part of its “Imagine” Campaign is a first of its kind presentation of a Christmas Ballet Concert featuring “A Pinoy Christmas” and excerpts of “ The Nutcracker Act 2,” “The Land of Sweets” featuring Clara, “The Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Land of Sweets,” all performed by the Steps Dance Project, spearheaded by their director and founder Sofia Zobel Elizalde.

The Christmas Ballet Concert will be staged at various Ayala Malls including Market!Market! on November 6 and 7, Glorietta on November 20 and 21, Alabang Town Center on December 4 and 5, TriNoma on December 11 and 12, and MarQuee on December 18 and 19.

Other events to celebrate the spirit of the Holiday season are activities for kids and families to enjoy. Christmas Stations in the different Ayala Malls will have a Nutcracker Photo Station, Book Fair and Toy Fair.
The hardy perennial of Christmas since time immemorial – Santa Claus – will also be making his annual cheer-laden visits to various Ayala Malls to hear out the Christmas wishes of the young, and also the not so young.

Festive fireworks during weekends will be another attraction for families to enjoy.

To celebrate the gift of giving are Nutcracker premium items and shopping bags to be sold for the benefit of Habitat for Humanity, Centex, and Children’ s Hour.

Ayala Malls hopes that Christmas will be more meaningful through the events and activities that bring the message of giving, and invite their clientele to join them in making hopes and dreams come to life this Yuletide season.
