Regine and Ogie's Emotional Exchange of Marriage Vows
vid by addicted2songbird
"Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" as the background music..
OGIE's vow for REGINE
"My Bride, I stand before you and all your beauty and total amazement, that this dream will come true. I thank you for choosing me to be with you, For my heart is overwhelm and overjoyed. You've been kind, patient and ever willing to fill me with your unconditional love. I will be your friend, your team mates, your sparing mates, your ka-tsismisan, your most avid Reginian, your Brad Pitt, your Tom Cruise and Justin Bieber rolled into one. To me, my love, you are my song, so beautiful in its melody, warm and loving in its words and my heart would love to sing you for all eternity. Our lifetime together begins today and i will cherish every single moment that i spend with you here on earth and until we finally join our father in heaven,,,I LOVE YOU and I always will."
REGINE'S vow for Ogie
I LOVE YOU, I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY IN ALL MY LIFE."

Regine Velasquez: "You are no longer your own, but mine!"
more photos here
The wedding vows were so touching that the well-heeled guests couldn‘t help but cry.
The groom, Ogie Alcasid, 43, lovingly looked at his bride, Regine Velasquez, as he said in English, “I will be your Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Justin Bieber,” and Regine, 40, her eyes fixed on her brand-new husband, answered in Tagalog, “Kuwarenta anyos na ako kaya pasensya na lang kung masungit ako kung minsan.”
Recounted STAR contributor Girlie Rodis who was among the teary-eyed guests, “Not a pair of eyes was dry.”
Then, Regine sang the APO song Di Ko Malimutan, part of which goes, …di ko maalaala kung kailan nagsimula, di ko malimutan kung kailan ko natikman ang tamis ng ‘yong halik, yakap na napaka-higpit, pagibig na tunay hanggang langit…
The wedding, held at The Peak, Terrazas de Punta Fuego, Nasugbu, Batangas, as heavenly shades of night were falling late yesterday afternoon, was dubbed Wedding of The Decade. It will be shown as a TV special on Sunday, Dec. 26, on GMA with which the couple is under exclusive contract, with a wedding primer to be aired tomorrow in Startalk, also on GMA.
The radiant bride walked down the aisle to the tune of Ryan Cayabyab’s wedding song Iniibig Kita.
Regine was the first-ever bride to wear a red wedding dress specially designed by Monique Lhuillier for reportedly $8,000 (although some people claimed it cost more), a gift for her by Dr. Vicki Belo who stood as one of the 20 principal sponsors who also included Regal Matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde, GMA big boss Felipe L. Gozon, GMA exec Wilma Galvante, TV5 boss Manny V. Pangilinan, Sharon Cuneta, Jose Mari Chan, Viva boss Vic del Rosario Jr., Tony Tuviera, German Moreno, Ida Henares, Nanette Inventor, Orlando Ilacad, Anastacia Puno, Dr. Crisanta Villanueva, US-based concert producer Ma. Rosario Legarda, Ronnie Henares, Freddie Santos and Michel Lhuillier and wife Amparito Llamas-Lhuillier (Monique’s parents).
Ogie is an endorser of the Lhuillier string of pawnshops, so Monique accommodated Vicki’s order for Regine’s gown made last August when Regine, accompanied by Vicki, went to L.A. for her measurements.
Pres. Noynoy “P-Noy” Aquino was one of the groomsmen. He left soon after the ceremony and didn’t attend the reception.
Ogie’s ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren was Candle Bearer with her husband Mark Morrow. It was Michelle who did the floral arrangement. When Michelle and Mark got married in Australia last year, Ogie and Regine were present. Leila Isabel, older of Michelle and Ogie’s two daughters, was Maid of Honor. Sarah Kate, the other daughter, was Bible Bearer
The bride wore a pair of expensive boots which she playfully showed the guests by lifting the hemline of her gown.
In previous interviews with The STAR, Ogie and Regine revealed that they would have to postpone their honeymoon, most probably in Europe, to early next year. They planned to spend the next few days in Bohol, together with Michelle and Mark, plus Leila and Sarah Kate.
Regine admitted that she and Ogie have been living together since three years ago when news about their engagement leaked out in the media.
At the reception, Dingdong Avanzado, one of the groomsmen, dedicated Iibigin, a song he composed specially for the couple.

Our Songbird is now REGINE VELASQUEZ-ALCASID (Thank you for "Saving this Date" 12.22.10 with us!!!)
mon1enararauno's message CLICK HERE
MANILA, Philippines— The bride wore a flaming red gown, her signature color, to her wedding.
Singer-actress Regine Velasquez, who tied the knot on Wednesday with longtime boyfriend, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, “derives power from that color,” her friend, fashion designer Rajo Laurel, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer by phone.
The off-shoulder outfit was a creation of Monique Lhuiller, the US-based Filipino designer who has also designed gowns for Hollywood celebrities Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Kristen Stewart and Hillary Duff.
Alcasid’s gray suit was by Randy Ortiz. “I have nothing against the barong Tagalog. It’s just that parang mas pogi kasi ako (it appears I look better in a suit),” he told the Inquirer in a previous interview.
The ceremony was held at The Peak, Terrazas de Punta Fuego Resort, Nasugbu, Batangas.
The wedding rite was set in time for the sunset. “A thousand butterflies were released while Regine was walking down the aisle. They all clung to her. It was an amazing sight,” Laurel said. “Everyone cried when the couple exchanged their marriage vows.”
Velasquez sang the APO Hiking Society original “Awit ng Pag-ibig” as part of her wedding pledge. She ended it by saying: “I’ve never felt so happy all my life.”
Hyped as the “Wedding of the Decade,” the Christian ceremony began at 4 p.m., officiated by Pastor Clem Guillermo and Nasugbu Mayor Tony Barcelon.
President Aquino was one of the groomsmen.
“The swimming pool was covered with fiberglass. The couple crossed it and climbed a flight of stairs on their way to the altar. It was so romantic,” said Redgie Acuña-Magno, GMA 7 senior program manager.
The all-male vocal group Tux performed at the ceremony.
Actress Sharon Cuneta, one of the principal sponsors, failed to make it to the event. Cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo, who was also a ninang, chose not to join the march of the bridal entourage.
Alcasid’s former wife, 1994 Miss Universe-Australia Michelle van Eimeren, and her new husband Mark Morrow, were the couple’s candle bearers. Van Eimeren, who runs a flower shop business in Australia, also took care of the floral arrangements.
Alcasid’s daughter Leila was Velasquez’s maid of honor. Alcasid’s brother Antonio was his best man. His seven-year-old daughter Sarah served as the Bible bearer.
At 6:30 p.m. the newlyweds greeted their guests as Mr. and Mrs. Alcasid for the first time.
“The reception was just across the place where the ceremony was held,” Magno said.
The food was served by Juan Carlo catering.
Spotted at the party were Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., Ryan Cayabyab, Michael V., Gary Valenciano, Ruffa and Richard Gutierrez, Kuh Ledesma, Mitch Valdez, Randy and Rowell Santiago, John Prats, Ai Ai de las Alas, Noel Cabangon, Vernie Vargas, Richard Gomez and wife Rep. Lucy Torres, Erik Santos, Agot Isidro, Sarah Geronino, Gloria Diaz and singer-actress Leah Salonga, also an Inquirer entertainment columnist.
Also present were the couple’s co-hosts on the GMA 7 program “Party Pilipinas” — Jolina Magdangal, Jay-R, Kyla, Jaya Ramsey, Rachel Ann Go, Mark Bautista, Gian Magdangal, and Janno Gibbs, who was also one of the groomsmen.
Ramsey’s daughter Sabriya was one of the flower girls, while the vow sponsors were George and John, the couple’s pet dogs.
The couple had been tightlipped about the date and venue of the wedding.
“It’s one time that we’d like to experience a semblance of privacy,” Alcasid told the Inquirer in a previous chat.
But in a press conference in August, GMA 7 senior vice president for entertainment TV Wilma Galvante preempted Alcasid, breaking the news with details. She said it would be a “wedding concert,” as the best local performers would all be there. She added that the Kapuso network would air a TV special on the event on December 26.

Pre 25th Anniv. Celebration: No More Sad Songs for Regine Velasquez
No more sad songs for Regine
It is probably every woman’s dream to walk down the aisle. Regine Velasquez, perhaps one of the most celebrated songstresses in local pop music history, is no different from the rest. The sheen and glitter of fame and stardom can only last for so long. Time will come when the fulfillment one derives from ma...terial possessions and personal achievements will wear off. And in the end, what truly matters is finding someone to share your successes and failures, hopes and aspirations with.
Yesterday, December 22, the woman who is simply known as Asia’s Songbird to generations of music, TV and film audiences exchanged vows with the man who goes by the moniker the "Songwriter." Does this signal the beginning of a fairy tale for the two well-liked showbiz icons? Personally, we no longer believe in fairy tales. We used to when we were young and shallow and didn’t know any better. Marriage is a serious matter that one should approach and enter into with a clear perspective.
In the days to come, reports on the Alcasid-Velasquez nuptials will dwell on the grandness of the Batangas ceremony, the reception, the red Monique Lhuillier gown, the star-studded entourage, the lavishness of it all. Adjectives will run out. Praises will sound redundant. We choose to turn an eye on the beginnings of this romance and how their individual tenacity has brought Ogie and Regine this far.
Admirers of the "Ang Bagong Kampeon" champion – who became the biggest singing sensation since Nora Aunor stoked the masa’s devotion in the ‘70s – can trace Regine’s romantic history to her much-vaunted yet short-lived romance with "Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala" crooner Ariel Rivera in the early ‘90s. Didn’t Regine worshippers wish that Gelli de Belen, who eventually became the legal Mrs. Ariel Rivera, never existed? That time, the Regine-Ariel team-up, which developed into a full-blown affair after appearing in a musical showcase together, "Two Hearts, One Beat," was what publicity writers loved to drumbeat as a pair made in music heaven. They were both singers, young, fresh, and had strong chemistry.
Loyal fans of the love team could disregard the fact that Ariel’s relationships with Gelli and Regine almost overlapped. Who could ever forget that episode many years later in the defunct morning show "Sis" where Regine and Gelli decided to bury the hatchet? When Regine finished off a heartfelt monologue with "I also just fell in love," "Reginians" all over the country and elsewhere in the world were applauding the singer-actress for her sincerity and candor.
From the time Regine and Ariel parted ways, what followed was a guessing game as to who will be the next man to win the beloved diva’s heart? Will he be as dashing as Ariel? Will their combination bring kilig to dizzying heights? Who will the supersinger dedicate her songs to?
There would be reported dalliances, the noisiest of which was with the very much married Janno Gibbs. Both Regine and Janno strongly denied it but one wonders what could have triggered Janno’s wife Bing Loyzaga’s outburst against Regine? All, however, is now water under the bridge. And then in 2004, rumors of an Ogie-Regine affair started floating. The reports coincided with suspicions that Ogie was unhappy with his marriage to Michelle Van Eimeren. Pure fiction, Ogie said of the rumored l’affaire Regine. "I’ve clarified it a million times. It’s become tiring," Alcasid told StarStudio magazine in 2004.
Six years later, the couple doesn’t seem to tire of sharing their story to anyone who cares to listen. Now both in their 40s, it was even revealed that the two have been living under the same roof for three years without the benefit of marriage. Regine herself divulged this to media. This is not the shy, mousy Chona (later changed to the more diva-sounding Regine) Velasquez anymore but a confident, self-made woman who has amassed wealth, won admiration and gained respect in an industry that does not bless too many with a similar lofty status. This is a woman whose fan base has allowed her to be crowned box-office queen, sold millions of records and filled concert venues to the rafters. This is a woman who can get away with any public confession she dares make.
On the other hand, Alcasid is perhaps the perfect partner for Velasquez. He is stable and sturdy, generally well-liked in showbiz circles. It is safe to say that the two are on equal footing, thus leaving no room for insecurities to set in. The mere fact that Alcasid’s ex-wife welcomes Regine like family and even flew in from Australia to take part in the wedding of her former husband to his new bride says a lot about this particular case being a unique occurrence.
The hopeless romantics are expectedly rooting for Ogie and Regine, alongside the couple’s friends, family, associates, and colleagues. All of showbiz, in fact. The once-burned and broken may look at it two ways: one, see it as inspiration and cause for hope that as a character in the famous romantic drama "An Affair to Remember" puts it, "when one wishes long and hard enough, one’s wish may come true." And two, view it with a certain amount of wariness. The love Scrooges among us may raise an eyebrow and let out a cryptic Mona Lisa-like smile.
However way you look at it, all of us can perhaps agree on one point – that the wedding of Ogie and Regine is the realization of one timid Bulakeña (Note: it should be enye) with a robust singing voice’s ultimate dream, over and above being famous and providing her family with a good life.
In the classic hymn "Songbird," Barbra Streisand sings of a famous diva’s lonely search for love: "With the songs that I sing and the magic they bring, you’ve learned to be strong now. The song sets you free but who sings to me? I’m all alone now, where is my songbird?" Clearly, in Regine Velasquez’s case, the songbird won’t be singing sad songs to herself any longer.

Also present in the ceremony was Alcasid's first wife, Michelle van Eimeren, mother of his 2 daughters.
Eimeren did the bouquet and the flowers for the entourage, while their daughters, Leila and Sarah, were the flower girls at the wedding.
Alcasid's marriage to Eimeren was annulled last June 21.
Alcasid and Velasquez became a couple in 2007. According to Velasquez, Alcasid proposed to her at a restaurant while she was eating steak.
Alcasid gave her an heirloom ring from his mother as an engagement ring.
Honeymoon
In a previous interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Velasquez divulged that she and Alcasid won't have a honeymoon after their Christian wedding.
She said she and Alcasid will instead spend time with their family, including bonding moments with Alcasid's former wife.
