Kris Aquino: Blessings of Love

Kris Aquino just released her 4th album, yes 4th album! entitled “The Blessings Of Love”. Thankfully, the Queen Of All Media, as Kris Aquino is dubbed, does not sing any song at all in her albums. Kris Aquino only personally handpicks the songs and who will sing it on these albums. For “The Blessings Of Love” album, the central theme are patriotism, family and love. All three of Kris Aquino’s albums are certified bestsellers – “Songs Of Love and Healing” reached Double Platinum status; “Songs Of Love and Inspiration” turned Gold and “The Greatest Love: A Tribute To President Corazon Aquino reached Platinum status. I actually bought “The Blessings Of Love” and this album is really worth it. Notable songs in it are Regine Velasquez’ “Hindi Ka Nag-iisa,” from Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s political ads and Martin Nievera’s rendition of “The Impossible Dream,” her father martyred hero, Sen. Ninoy Aquino’s favorite song. Kris Aquino said her heart swells with pride listening to the two songs. However, Kris Aquino’s favorite song in the albumt is Jed Madela’s rendition of To Where You Are.

“The Blessings Of Love” Tracklisting :

1. Martin Nievera – The Impossible Dream
2. Gary Valenciano – Love Is The Answer
3. Jed Madela – To Where You Are
4. Nina – You Are Not Alone
5. Christian Bautista – I Have Fallen In Love (With The Same Woman Three Times)
6. Jay R – Dance With My Father
7. Gail Blanco – Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo
8. Erik Santos – Iingatan Ka
9. Ogie Alcasid – Ikaw
10. Ronnie Liang – Walang Iba
11. Noel Cabangon with Aia De Leon of Imago – Kanlungan
12. Regine Velasquez – Hindi Ka Nag-iisa

Meet the Cast Of DIVA!

Regine and the Pretenders

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez stars in a series that is tailor-made for the country’s music star.

GMA Network launches its first ever "kantaserye" – "Diva" about the rise of Sampaguita or Sam (Regine), a woman gifted with a beautiful voice but a not-so-pleasant exterior.

Pretty and talented ladies like Lady (Rufa Mae Quinto) and Tiffany (Glaiza de Catro) become not only pretenders to the throne of Diva Melody (a.k.a. Sam) but also the rivals to the hearts of Melody’s admirers Gary (Mark Anthony Fernandez) and Martin (TJ Trinidad).

Another character who keeps pulling down Sam’s dream of becoming a singer is her mother Paula (Gloria Diaz), a former beauty queen and a frustrated singer/actress who blames her ugly daughter.

Unlike her mom, Sam’s dad Elvis (Buboy Garovillo), a former musician turned taxi driver, pushes his daughter to reach for her dream. He is Sam’s fan and supports his daughter in every step she makes to reach her dream.

Aside from Elvis, people believing in Sam are best friend Barbra (Jaya), her half-brother Smith (Mark Herras), her neighbor Vanessa (Ynna Asistio) and even George (Randy Santiago), the executive producer of a recording company.

Watch Regine and her pretenders in her quest for fame and love in "Diva," directed by Dominic Zapata, with Don Michael Perez as headwriter and Jake Tordessilas as creative consultant.
